FULL TIME SALES CONSULTANT

 

Sales Consultants are responsible for presenting new and pre-owned vehicles in a professional and informative manner that promotes the sale. They will also maintain ongoing customer relationships to ensure complete satisfaction and drive repeat business.  They will also need to stay up-to-date on industry trends and vehicle information.

 

Job Duties:
  • Understands vehicles and their features and capabilities
  • Develop rapport with new and existing customers.
  • Qualifies buyers by understanding their needs, wants and interests while demonstrating and presenting vehicles that meet those requirements.
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections, asking for the sale and negotiating price.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the vehicle sale in preparation for Finance requirements including the explanation of warranties and after-market products.
  • Deliver vehicle to customer by showing all features, options and nuances of the vehicle including any system activations on new models.
  • Keep up to date on all new vehicle information and any manufacture testing requirements.
  • Participate in on-going sales training.
  • Enhance the dealership overall by adding opportunities and “out of the box” ideas.
Job Requirements:
  • Professional appearance.
  • Prior auto sales preferred or previous sales experience (retail, insurance, real estate, food/beverage).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer and technology skills (email, chat, text) and utilization of a CRM system.
  • High energy, positive, out-going personality with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Drive and ambition to achieve monthly and ongoing sales goals.
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

FULL AND PART-TIME LOT ATTENDANTS

 

Lot Attendants are responsible for verifying delivery of vehicles to dealership in an orderly and professional manner.  They will also be required to drive and park vehicles on and off our main lot while maintaining the visual appeal of the lot and inspection of lot vehicles.  Daily interactions with the sales department, management and all areas of the dealership and assisting with their requests.

 

Job Duties:
  • Arrange vehicles on lot.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the main lot and 4 ancillary lots.
  • Clean vehicles for delivery when needed by sales.
  • Make sure lot-ready vehicles have fuel and start.
  • Check in, verify and complete paperwork on vehicle deliveries.
  • Shuttle vehicles between lots and obtain vehicles from off site locations for sales/management as needed.
  • Check lots on a daily basis making sure vehicles are clean with Mike Murphy Ford badging and removal of all non-required stickers.
Job Requirements:
  • Well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Organized and ambitious self-starter.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others both oral and written and read and understand basic instructions.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt in quick changing environment.
  • High energy, positive, out-going personality with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons and temperatures and able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

 

What Mike Murphy Ford offers you is the ability to work for one of the largest new and pre-owned Ford dealerships in Central Illinois.  Our dealership is locally owned and has been owned by the same family for over 36 years. We have an aggressive marketing and advertising program with an excellent pay plan and large vehicle inventory all encompassed by a fun work environment.
Benefits:
  • Starting pay at $10/hr with a raise after the 90-day probation period.
  • Paid weekly with direct deposit available
  • 5-day work week (Will include Saturday)
