Sync My Ride with Ford SYNC® 3

Ready to “Sync my ride?” The Ford SYNC® 3 setup is designed to be easy and intuitive; as long as you follow the steps below, you’ll be ready to go in no time! The first thing you want to do is start your car and turn on your smartphone. Then:

1. Turn on Bluetooth® on your phone and ensure that your phone is discoverable.
2. On your vehicle’s SYNC® 3 interface, press the “Add Device” button.
3. Scan for devices on your smartphone until SYNC® shows up.
4. Confirm that the PIN on your phone matches the PIN on the screen. Otherwise, enter the PIN displayed into your phone.
5. SYNC® will indicate that the pairing is successful.
6. SYNC® will then display 911 Assist status; you can decide whether to turn this feature on or off, as it makes automatic calls to emergency personnel in the event of a crash. At this point, you can also opt-in or opt-out of automatic contact downloads.
7. Press the “Finish” button. You’re good to go!
